I own a condo in Dorchester. I asked John of Camargo Electric to install some lights in my living room. I had an idea of what I wanted, but he was able to make suggestions that made sense. One in particular was to put a single light in the entry way with a switch almost at the front door. I used to have to walk halfway into the living room before I could turn any light on (and there was only one which made the room dimly lit). I wonder why the electrician who did the initial work didn’t think of that. If he did it right, I wouldn’t have spent any more money.

I called Camargo Electric and a few other companies. John actually answered my call where I had to leave messages for a couple of the other electric companies. By the time the one company did call me back, John had already set up a time and day to do the work. I was very pleased with the work and his guys cleaned up after themselves too. We will definitely use them again.

John has done a lot of electrical work for me over the years. I had a two family in Roslindale where he upgraded our service, installed lights, ceiling fans, switches and outlets, cable service, etc… It was an old house and required lots of difficult snaking in the walls. He took the time to do it right & all at the right price. He has also done a lot of work at our new house in Dedham. Upgraded our service to 200 amp, beautiful recessed lighting in the kitchen, wired our new central air, sconce lights, and more. I have never had a problem with anything he has done and I wouldn’t use anyone else. Thanks John.

John did all the electric work in my place. There weren’t nearly enough outlets throughout and it needed some lighting updates, they installed our thermostat, and the ceiling fans. There was a problem with an outlet in one of the bedrooms and a ceiling fan. I called and he was happy to come back out and take care of it. I have dealt with others in this line of work who have done the job and I can’t get a hold of them once they are paid. That wasn’t the case with Camargo Electric.

I have worked with John and his crew on two jobs. I am an architect, so I work with electricians all the time. Camargo Electric has been one of the best to work with.
Camargo Electric completed all that was required with precision, care and professionalism. I have no hesitations in working with John and his crew on future projects.

I called Camargo Electric for the first time for a last minute rush job that one of our clients needed. John was very friendly & professional on the phone. He said it was no problem & that he would meet me within the following 2 days. He was right on time, completed the service we needed & did a remarkable job. Our client was pleased with him as well. I’ve used Camargo Electric twice now, John is great. I emailed him for a quote to install some wall switches for the ceiling fans he installed last year and also for a bathroom heater fan. He came over and looked at what needed to be done, he emailed me the quote the next day and in less than two weeks the job’s done and I’m very happy with everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his company.

I have been using John for some time now. I subcontract work as well as schedule direct for a number of national accounts (phones, security, A/V, you name it we do it). It is rare to find such quality for John’s rates. He has responded same day, next day to accomodate me numerous times. I can not thank him enough!
I have come to depend on John, as if he were one of my direct employees. I deal with over 1000 shops nationwide, John definitely sticks out in my mind as one of the best!

I contacted John after trying another contractor that didn’t return my calls. I had a small job to be done for a tenant and was anxious to get it done quickly. John answered the phone, took my information and scheduled a time the next day. He showed up when he said he would, completed the job, and kept my tenant happy!
I’m glad to have found John and will certainly call him in the future.

John recently completed some additional work in my dental practice. Work was done while my dental office was in operation. It was done with no disruption to the patients or the staff. It was also completed on schedule and within the estimate originally provided.

We have used John for many of our home projects. He was referred to us by a friend who swore by his work, and we soon found out why. He installed the wiring for our home theatre system as well as recess lighting and other electrical projects. We highly recommend him.

I needed a service upgrade fast after NSTAR clipped the power coming into my house. I called John and he was there the next day! He and his crew were professional, friendly, and got the job done. I highly recommend John as a master electrician.

John and his crew are great. I have used them twice now. First to install some recessed lighting and then to install new fans for the bathrooms. He quotes are on the mark and they follow thru if there are issues that they arise as they are doing the work. I have used other electricians in the past and they can not compare to John and his team. I would highly recommend them.

Called John to fix another electricians screw up. Was a little embarrassed, but John professionally ignored such an issue. He arranged a time for the repair, succeeded and called me before and after. I knew when stuff was done and of course the job was successful. I should have had him do the initial installation, and will definately the next time. I already have more work lined up for him.

I have referred clients who are buying and selling homes and need electrical work done to Carmargo Electric. I feel confident that they will be first called back (which is half the battle) and also that they will do quality work at a fair price. I needed a home inspection done for knob/tube wiring and John was gracious enough to take on such a small job after many others had refused. Hopefully he’ll be available for my 2nd floor renovation project.

John and his team did a quick, efficient job for me recently, relacing my side motion sensor lights. He assess the ones I had, and was able to tell me right away that the lights were so old that the daylight sensor was worn out, which accounted for them being on all the time. He let me dash over to Home Depot to pick out replacements, while he worked on another job in t area. Shortly after I returned, he installed the new lights and got them set up properly.
Not only did John do a great job with this, but last summer, he installed a new ceiling fan for me and helped me out with probems I’d had with my fire alarms.
I would ask John to do any an all electrical work at my house.
Also, it’s a nice bonus that he can email invoice. Woohoo!

I found John via boston.com a few months ago. His knowledge, service and expertise have been invalubale in our new condo. He installed a ceiling fan, light fixtures and tended to some other unique electrical issues which could have posed a great hazard to us.
Phone calls were always returned in a timely manner, quotes always representative of the requested work, and a satifactory product was always delivered.
Both John and his team were very polite, respectful and professional. I have referred him to other folks and they have also been satisfied.
I will have no problem asking him to do additional work in the future.
